Barca turn from Pjanic to Fabian

Barcelona could target Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz if they fail to work out a deal for Juventus star Miralem Pjanic, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Blaugrana had agreed to swap Pjanic with Arthur Melo, but the Brazilian has seemingly refused to accept the switch in the other direction.

With the two clubs debating other alternatives to Arthur, now Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo suggests Barcelona are looking to a different player and club entirely.

Instead, they could go for €60m-rated Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

He has also been linked with Real Madrid and at age 24 is considerably younger than Pjanic.

Napoli paid €30m to sign him from Real Betis in 2018 and his value has more than doubled in two years.

More importantly, it’s reported Fabian Ruiz is refusing to sign a new contract with Napoli, making a sale more likely.
