Andrea Barzagli confessed he was “pushed to the limit” physically in his final season, but hasn’t yet decided if he’ll become a Coach. “I don’t miss football.”
The 38-year-old hung up his boots after winning eight consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus.
“At this moment, I don’t miss football. I am calm and relaxed,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“I was pushed to the limit and my body really was struggling. I might change my mind eventually, when nostalgia sets in, but right now I have to admit that I am happy like this.”
Barzagli started the coaching course at Coverciano today, although he is still unsure of his next career step.
“I’ve known so many Coaches in my life, each with their own working methods, ideas and personalities. I tried to take the best from all of them.
“As for myself, I still don’t know if I’ll become a Coach. As with all professions, you need passion and above all ability. Before making a decision, I want to be sure that I have both.”
