Bologna case: Second test negative

The second coronavirus test of the subjected team member at Bologna has come back negative, another in-depth examination will take place in the next few hours.

The club has confirmed that the latest test for COVID-19 of a member suspected to have caught the infection was negative.

“The first control test carried out on the team member, whose last examination had shown a doubtful result, gave a negative result,” Bologna confirmed according to Sky Sport Italia.

“In the next few hours, further and definitive examination will be carried out. As a precaution, however, today’s training will be individually.”

Yesterday,the club released a statement revealing one suspected case of coronavirus for a member of staff at the Renato Dall’Ara.

It was first reported to be a player, then noted this was a member of staff and inevitably raised worrying questions, as coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is in the extremely at-risk category after months of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.

As the first control check has come back negative, further updates are expected in the next hours.
