Joao Cancelo says he ‘really thinks’ Cristiano Ronaldo will be in Juventus’ squad to face Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Ronaldo has not played for Juve since suffering a hamstring injury during the international break with Portugal, but his teammate for club and country is confident he will recover in time for the trip to Amsterdam.
“I’m fine, I didn’t play in the last two games due to a calf strain,” Cancelo, who himself did not take part in the Old Lady’s last two Serie A games, told Sky Sport Italia.
“Now I’m available, ready to take to the field in Amsterdam. Ronaldo’s been training and he’ll do anything to be there.
“I really think he’ll be called up. After that we’ll see if he plays from the start. The Coach will decide.”
