Lucas Biglia’s agent said the Milan midfielder is “pleased” about Fiorentina interest, possibly as part of an exchange with Jordan Veretout.
There are growing reports from various sources, including La Gazzetta dello Sport and SportItalia, that the Viola have approached 33-year-old Biglia for a reunion with ex-Rossoneri Coach Vincenzo Montella.
It was on Montella’s advice that Milan paid €20m to purchase the Argentina international from Lazio in 2017 and his contract is due to expire next summer.
Fiorentina could try to lower the €6m asking price by proposing a slight discount on €25m-rated midfielder Veretout, who is also wanted by Roma and Napoli.
“Nobody from Fiorentina has called me, but I did read about this interest and cannot deny we’re pleased,” Biglia’s agent Enzo Montepaone told Calciomercato.com.
“Montella is a Coach who works very well. Lucas has a contract with Milan, so it would not be that simple, but you can never say never in football.”
