Gennaro Gattuso is set to see out the rest of the season afterholding talks with Milan bosses on Monday.
Milan News reports the meeting lasted almost an hour and was ‘intimate and constructive’, emphasising ‘the unity of intent and vision’ among Ivan Gazidis, Leonardo, Paolo Maldini and President Paolo Scaroni, who joined midway through.
The website explains their faith in Gattuso ‘never came up for discussion’, with the quintet instead discussing the team’s current form after a poor run of results, the latest a 2-0 defeat to Torino.
The line has also been picked up Sky Sport Italia, both concluding the Rossoneri will resume training on Tuesday and that the Coach will be given the chance to save their campaign.
Milan have dropped to fifth in Serie A and do not play again until next Monday, when they host in-form Bologna.
