Premier League leaders Liverpool fought back from conceding an early goal to beat Newcastle United to maintain their 100% start to the season.
Newcastle took a shock lead after seven minutes when wing-back Jetro Willems curled a fine shot past Reds’ goalkeeper Adrian.
But Liverpool were ahead by half-time thanks to two goals from Sadio Mane, and were rarely troubled in the second-half other than a poor miss from close range by Newcastle’s Emil Krafth.
Mohamed Salah extended the lead after the break with a cool finish following a brilliant assist by substitute Roberto Firmino.
