Manchester United manager Solskjaer talks possible Gareth Bale transfer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to rule out a Manchester United move for Gareth Bale despite the club’s focus on long-term additions in the transfer window.

Speculation over Bale’s Real Madrid future has intensified in the wake of Zinedine Zidane’s reappointment as Real coach on Monday. Bale recently revealed he had not spoken to Zidane since his matchwinning brace in last year’s Champions League final triumph over Liverpool in Kiev, where the Wales international admitted he had to ‘seriously consider’ leaving Real after he started the game on the bench. Zidane stepped down days later and Juventus then signed Cristiano Ronaldo to effectively prolong Bale’s stay at the Bernabeu.
