Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio praised Antonio Conte for helping Inter “finding their soul” and claimed it’s a “two-horse race” in Serie A.
Inter won 3-0 away to Torino and left the former Italy international impressed as they continue to keep up with Juventus after 13 rounds in Serie A.
“The energy shown by Antonio [Conte] is translated to the players on the pitch,” he told Tiki Taka on Canale 5. “It’s a two-horse race now. Inter are finding their soul and have great balance.”
The Old Lady came back to win 3-1 over Atalanta and are still top, leading Inter by one point.
“Juventus secured a big win at Bergamo, they suffered a lot during the game, but then the quality came through from the big players,” he added.
Marchisio also pointed out the importance of new-boy De Ligt against La Dea, after a key performance in the Bianconeri defence.
“I’ve seen the great talent he’s got. He’s been receiving some criticism, but against Atalanta he demonstrated how valuable he is.”
Both Juventus and Inter are now focused on their proceedings in the Champions League, when Juventus are welcoming Atletico Madrid to Allianz Stadium and Inter travel to Slavia Praha in Czech Republic.
