Torino coach Walter Mazzarri still had warnings for his team even aftera 4-0 victory away to Brescia.“We sat back at 2-0 up.”
The Granata finally got their first win in six weeks, crushing 10-man Brescia at the Stadio Rigamonti with two Andrea Belotti penalties and a late brace from substitute Alex Berenguer.
“We broke through deservedly and created the situations that would’ve allowed us to score even more goals,” Mazzarri told Sky Sport Italia.
“The recent lack of results made us start with too much tension, but once we overcame that moment, we did very well and I have to compliment everyone.
“I only got angry today when we were 2-0 up, sat back and allowed Brescia to get back into the game. Serie A is difficult for everyone and we must treat every opponent as if they were Juventus.
“Many of our players aren’t in the best condition, but we were repaid for the overall performance today. We got two games wrong and people created a tragedy out of it, but criticism is part of the job.”
