Thiago Motta says “rotation means little to me” as he prepares to take his Genoa side to Juventus tomorrow.
Motta won on his debut as Genoa Coach at the weekend, leading the Rossoblu to a 3-1 victory over Brescia, but there will be no respite as his team travel to Juve, in the second match of three in the space of a week.
Despite that, the ex-Inter midfielder is only interested in naming his best XI against the Scudetto holders.
“We must no longer think about the win against Brescia, even if it allowed us to work calmly,” he said at a Press conference.
“It’s the past, and now we’re facing a very strong team like Juventus. We’ll have to maintain our idea of how to play and our mentality, which are those we showed against Brescia.
“They have so much quality, they’ve won eight League titles in a row, but I don’t have to worry about the Bianconeri. Instead, I have to focus on my players.
“If we feel good about ourselves, we can have a good game. Ronaldo rested against Lecce, but in any case there would’ve been Higuain and Dybala.
“I’ll name the team I think are the best for tomorrow. Rotation means little to me. I name the best team based on who our opponents are.
“I’m convinced that Kouame will give us a hand, no matter where he plays but for his mentality.
“Radovanovic can also play in both midfield and at the back. I saw good things in the first half against Brescia, and if we play as a team then we’ll have everything to gain.”
