Parma have reportedly held talks with Italy striker Mario Balotelli, who is seeking a €4m salary.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira, a meeting to discuss Balotelli’s possible arrival was held at Parma’s offices on Monday.
The Olympique Marseille hitman scored eight goals in 12 appearances during the second half of last season but has yet to be offered a new contract and, as it stands, will become a free agent on June 30.
However, while Schira suggests ‘Super Mario’ is open to the transfer, he warns the Gialloblu will have to fork out €4m a year.
Balotelli was raised in northern Italy and admitted only earlier this month that he would be ‘honoured’ to join Parma.
