Milan look to have missed out on Dani Ceballos as the Real Madrid midfielder is reportedly close to Tottenham Hotspur.
Milan have been trying to bring in Ceballos for several weeks, but they are not prepared to match Madrid’s €50m asking price.
The Spain Under-21 international has also made it clear that he will bide his time, suggesting the Rossoneri are not his first choice.
With that in mind, AS is now expecting the 22-year-old to join Tottenham after Coach Mauricio Pochettino personally held talks with him earlier in the summer.
During the conversation, Pochettino would have expressed his desire for the player to form an important part of his first-team plans next season.
Although the newspaper is certain he will only move on loan, it is thought there could be scope for a potential exchange with Christian Eriksen further down the line.
