Genoa have reportedly entered negotiations with Juventus to bring Mattia Perin back to the Marassi.
The shot stopper failed the medical for a move to Benfica last summer and stayed at Juventus to recover from a shoulder injury.
Now that he’s recovered, Goal Italia reports that Genoa are hoping to bring the 27-year-old back on a loan deal, optimistically with an option to sign the player on a permanent deal next summer.
His performances during the last spell at the club were excellent and made him secure a move to the Old Lady, who paid €12m for his services in July 2018.
He has since played nine games in Serie A for the Bianconeri and this season he’s been third in line behind both Wojciech Szczesny and Gianluigi Buffon.
Genoa are currently bottom of the League on 11 points after 17 games, four points behind Sampdoria at 17th.
During his last spell with the Rossoblu, Perin kept 46 clean sheets in 151 games for the club and could give Il Grifone a boost in the fight for survival.
