Roma have confirmed that Davide Zappacosta will arrive this evening to complete his loan move from Chelsea.
Sky Sport Italia’s report was quickly followed up by a tweet from Roma’s Press officer, that Zappacosta would be landing in the Italian capital at 22:30 BST.
The right-back joined Chelsea in the summer of 2017 for a reported €28m plus bonuses but failed to truly establish himself at Stamford Bridge.
He will now look to do just that for the Giallorossi, who have already sent Rick Karsdorp back to Feyenoord and are about to lose Davide Santon to Real Mallorca.
The Lupi are set to sign the 27-year-old on a season-long loan without an option to buy.
