Serie C player tested positive for coronavirus

A player from Pianese in Serie C Group A has tested positive for coronavirus last night and the team have cancelled training today.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals that the player had symptoms of flu last Saturday and had not entered the pitch as a precaution.

But he had stayed for lunch with his teammates and the newspaper links the virus to a train ride from a train ride to visit his parents in Emilia.

After remaining in his home and warning the doctors, the virus passed within a few days and he currently has no fever.

As a precaution, the team have decided to cancel the training session and await directions from the Health Institute in Italy.
