Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be open to stay at Milan beyond this season but will allegedly seek reassuring updates from CEO Ivan Gazidis.
The Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the proposed new coach Ralf Rangnick “will not need Zlatan” at the Rossoneri, but their own journalist Nicoló Schira now reports that the player’s agent Mino Raiola is preparing to discuss with CEO Gazidis.
The speculation regarding the future of the Swedish superstar has been a hot topic after the reports about the probable farewell of directors Zvonimir Boban and Paolo Maldini at Milanello.
The former LA Galaxy star arrived this winter and signed a six-month deal with an option to extend beyond this summer.
Big changes in the hierarchy has been proposed this week and Schira writes that the former Sweden international will be willing to stay put if Gazidis can reassure him that the Diavolo’s plan is matching his own.
Meanwhile, Zlatan of course posted a message open for interpretation on social media, reading: “Do it with passion or not at all.”
